The humanitarian relief is an important activity for us. Generally we work with refugee communities, empowering them for all round development. But in extra-ordinary situations like natural calamities, we offer food and other relief material as well. So far we have done significant distribution of dry food, cooked food and distribution of tarpaulin after Amphan and Yash storm.

Covid and disasters:- We started the relief program from the end of April 2020, the crucial time when it was strictly ordered by the government to stay in house. People lost jobs and earning but appetite would never listen. Many tried to sneak out and do something to earn but the police patrol was very strict. At this point we thought to distribute relief packages to them who could not afford to spend their savings or rather who did not have much savings to survive the lockdown without a job or no earning. We distributed all the families of our project areas like Adarshanagore, Lalkuthi, Baidyabati, Gorjee, all the tutorial students’ families and the families of Jacky’s school students’ in Sunderban. We also gave the relief packet to all our micro finance members and others who were in such need.
