Mudipara Integrated Community Development Project

This project is about 85 Kilometer South of Kolkata. We started this Project in the year 2002 in response to the local villagers. The village is called Mudipara, it’s basically an islet in South 24 Paragana district.  The islet is called Konkondighi. The people are mostly agricultural laborer. They work in lands of high caste. There are about 70 families in the project area. Average family income is about 3000 rupees that is 3000/5 = 600 rupees per head per month. We started the project in the year 2002. With the active support of the Village Panchayet (local Govt.). We organized the local committee who built up the 1st. community hall.

The girls have least ideas about menstrual hygiene we provide sanitary napkins against 50% cost

In a very small kitchen without a window they cook with wood which produces huge smoke so we provide smokeless chulla which is energy efficient and help them cook faster.

The Self Help Group Members having goat raring project. While they a kid they pass it to another member. Thus the goat rearing increases in the village enabling them to earn some money.
