Inspiring Success Story: Soumyadip Debnath

The following account highlights one of the

many inspiring journeys made possible through our Educational Sponsorship Programme 2024–25, which continues to support deserving students from economically challenged backgrounds in pursuing their educational goals.

Mr. SoumyadipDebnath, a resident of Dinemar Danga Garher Dhar, Chandannagar, approached Human Wave in 2017 seeking educational sponsorship. After reviewing his academic merit and socio-economic background, he was selected for assistance under the Educational Sponsorship Programme in 2018, while studying in Class XI.

Soumyadip hails from a humble family. His father manages a small photo-framing workshop, and his mother is a homemaker. Despite financial limitations, Soumyadip displayed exceptional dedication and academic excellence throughout his schooling. He completed his Higher Secondary Examination with outstanding results in the Science stream.

He subsequently earned admission to the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Durgapur, to pursue a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering. In 2025, he successfully completed his degree and began his professional career with Dolby Technology India Pvt. Ltd., Maharashtra.

We take immense pride in Soumyadip’s accomplishments and extend our heartfelt congratulations to him. His journey exemplifies how educational support, combined with determination and hard work, can lead to remarkable success.
