Ms. Nandini Kocher – A Case study on Women Self Reliance
Case Study m36 years old Nandini Kocher lives at Adarshanagore with her husnand, two children and in-laws. She has been a member of our Matri Prochesta group (Adarshanagore-6) for quite a long period of time. Her husband used to work in a jute mill but around two years ago the mill was closed and as her husband was the only earning member, they felt at sea.
At that time Nandini thought of starting the garments business and took a loan from us and bought few garments from the local wholesale market and started selling them door to door. Besides selling her husband helps her by making few garments at home. Together they earn Rs. 6000-7000 per month. Her son and daughter come to our tutorial. Her daughter Amropali Kocher is our sponsored student.
Nandini has taken loans from us 8 times all total. She was also happy to share that her husband and in-laws helped and supported her throughout the journey that’s why she could build the business and feed her family.
