case studyMy journey with Human Wave- Piyali Pal.
I am Piyali Pal, Daughter of Late Sankar Pal and Rita Pal. Residing at Mankundu, My journey has started on 4th December 1994 and my journey with Human Wave started in 2003. My father died in 2002 and then we moved from Bangladesh to Mankundu, India in 2003 with my mother, one elder sister and one younger brother only with empty hands. Since then the struggle for survival started. My mother used to cook very well. She took cooking job in a few houses and came to know about Human Wave. With extreme diligence and sincerity my mother raise us and Human Wave was with us very closely offering directions and financial supports to overcome extremely odd days.
I have sheer interest in study from my child hood, but my mother alone could not afford to pay for the three of us. In our time of need, Human Wave extended a helping hand. They paid for my education helped my mother to find jobs. After completing my primary education I took admission in Telinipara Bhadreswar Girls High School in the 2004 and I graduated with Bengali honors from Chandannagar College in 2016. I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Bengali language from the University of Burdwan and I learn classical dance with the help of Human Wave.
Human Wave is such a organization which helps mostly the financially backward students by providing their private tuitions, books for study and etc. Not only in education they are also active in organizing many awareness campaigns, Dance class, Cultural functions, Drawing competitions, Band class, Bratachary class, Sports, Drama class , Seminars, Science exhibition, Educational Tour etc. to make the students skillful. After attending these programs I had learnt a lot of things. With the help of this NGO I hope I could educate myself to the fullest. Thanks to Human Wave for playing such an important role in my life which I will never forget.
